Jacksonville Beach · One-on-One Brain Training

When school feels like a battle, there's always a why. Let's find it.

Tutoring re-teaches last week's lesson. Brain training finds and strengthens the skills underneath — attention, memory, processing — so your child doesn't just survive this school year. They change how they learn, for life.

Sound familiar?

You've tried everything. The struggle keeps coming back.

These aren't discipline problems or effort problems. They're usually skill problems — and they have names.

Homework takes hours

What should take 20 minutes becomes a nightly two-hour battle with tears — theirs or yours.

"Smart, but…"

You know your child is bright. The grades and the teacher emails say something else.

Reading is avoided

Guessing at words, losing their place, dreading being called on to read aloud.

Focus drifts

Instructions go in one ear and out the other. Sitting through a lesson feels impossible.

Tutoring didn't stick

Grades bumped for a unit, then slid right back. The help treated the symptom, not the cause.

Confidence is slipping

"I'm just dumb." The hardest sentence a parent can hear — and the most untrue.

If you nodded at any of these, the next question isn't "more tutoring?" It's "why is this hard for my child?" — and that question has an answer.

The Difference

Stop re-teaching the lesson. Strengthen the brain that's learning it.

Tutoring

Treats the symptom

  • Re-teaches the same content again
  • Helps with this unit, this test
  • Child stays dependent on the help
  • When tutoring stops, gains often fade
LearningRx Brain Training

Trains the cause

  • Identifies the exact weak cognitive skills
  • Strengthens them with 1-on-1 training
  • Builds a confident, independent learner
  • Skills that last for life — not one semester

When one of these is weak, school is hard everywhere it touches. The assessment shows you exactly which ones — in numbers you can see.

How it works

Three steps. The first one answers the question you've been asking for years.

1

Take the Cognitive Assessment

About one hour at our Beach Blvd center. We measure all seven learning skills and pinpoint exactly where the struggle lives.

$199 · includes results consultation
2

See the why — together

Deana personally walks you through your child's results. For most parents, this is the first time it all finally makes sense.

3

Train one-on-one

If training is right for your child, a dedicated trainer strengthens those exact skills — measurable before and after, built to last.

No obligation beyond the assessment. Many families come just for the clarity — and that's a win.

A note for the parent reading this at 10pm

I opened this center because I kept meeting families who had tried everything — tutors, apps, rewards, consequences — and were still watching their bright child lose confidence year after year.

Here's what I want you to know: your child isn't lazy, and you haven't failed them. There is almost always a reason school is hard, and it can be measured. When I sit with a family and show them their child's results, I watch years of guilt leave the room. That moment is why we're here.

Come in. Let's find your child's why — and then let's do something lasting about it.

Questions parents ask

The honest answers, before you even call

Is this tutoring?
No — and that's the point. Tutoring re-teaches school content. Brain training strengthens the underlying skills (attention, memory, processing) that make all learning easier. Many of our families tried tutoring first and saw gains fade; training targets the cause so results are built to last.
What exactly do I get for the $199 assessment?
About an hour of objective cognitive testing across all seven learning skills, plus a one-on-one results consultation with Deana where you'll see exactly which skills are strong, which are holding your child back, and what to do about it. You leave with clarity either way — there's no obligation to enroll.
Does my child need a diagnosis first?
No. Many families come to us with an ADHD or dyslexia diagnosis; many come with no diagnosis at all — just a struggle nobody has explained. The assessment measures skills, not labels, and it's often the missing piece alongside what doctors and therapists provide. We don't diagnose; we measure and train.
How much time does training take?
Programs are personalized after the assessment, but most families train a few sessions per week, scheduled around school, sports and church. It's a season of focused work — for a result meant to last a lifetime.
What ages do you work with?
Most of our students are 5–18, and we also train adults — from college prep to professionals to seniors focused on memory. If you're wondering whether it fits your situation, ask at the assessment consult.
